This is why liberals make me sick.

Liberals and the media are licking their chops for hurricane Gustav.  Some for the perverse purpose of disrupting the RNC.  Michael more called the timiing “divine intervention”.  Many are not so sickening in their anticipation, however.

For the most part, the sense of desire surrounding this potential tragedy is the reminder it provides for the “failures” of the Bush administration.  Many Democrats hope to tie McCain to Bush at the hip and exploit this event to that end.  It blows my mind that the local government has totally escaped blame in the whole thing.  During these types of crisis it is the job of the state and local officials to take care of business, but the Democratic Governor at that time (Kathleen Blanco) along with the Mayor of New Orleans (Ray Nagin) were ill prepared and completely incompetent in handling the situation.

People love to show the pictures of FEMA trailers in Hope, AR that never made it to the victims, but that’s not FEMA’s job.  FEMA is intended to provide resources and staging for state emergency relief.  FEMA did its job in Katrina and will do it again in Gustav.  The failure here was with the liberal government of the state that expected the feds would do it for them (typical liberal thinking).  This is an issue of responsibility, integrity, leadership, and federalism.

Prediction: the convention will continue with an appropriately subdued tone.  Gov. Bobby Jindal (R-LA) will show true leadership (as he already has by cancelling his highly anticipated speech at the RNC).  The conservatives in Louisiana’s government will show the world how to properly handle a crisis and how to properly care for people in need.  Gustav will be more destructive but not as deadly as Katrina…a testament to the work of strong conservative leaders.

No one can prevent or cause a natural disaster, but one’s attitude about government’s role does change how leaders respond.  Katrina serves as an example of how liberals do not understand the federal government’s role in these events.  Gustav will show how conservatives like Bobby Jindal lead.  If you are a liberal who still blames the incompetence of the federal government for Katrina then let me ask you something.  Why do want these same people to choose your health care????

What A Pick!!!!

Sara Palin....a perfect 10 of a VP choice

Sarah Palin....a perfect 10 of a VP choice

Senator John McCain has made my day!  Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) is the perfect choice for a VP.  Here is the basic choices McCain had going into this pick

1. A moderate to further his maverick image and bring swing voters over.

2. A conservative to excite the base.

With this pick he managed to acomplish both ends.  Palin is a conservative who supports drilling in ANWR, budget cutting, ethics reform, and smaller government….my kind of girl.  At the same time he is choosing a young female who can pull both soccer moms and disillusioned Hillary supporters.  The pick is so out of the blue that he still looks like a maverick.  Since Palin fought the corrupt GOP establishment of Alaska, she is a “maverick” too.

The greatest irony is how the pick turns the tables. Obama claims to be the candidate of change, yet he chose an old, white, Washington insider for VP.  That contradiction is all the more glaring now that Palin has been selected.  Add to that the fact that she actually has more executive experience than Obama himself and this selection has hit all the targets: Conservative, maverick, female, makes Obama look inexperienced and insincere.

Obama Acceptance Speech Post-Mortem

Lot of flag waving at that convention speech.  Not suprising given Obama’s patriotic shortcomings.  So did he do what he had to do? Yes.  Did he say all the right things?  Yes.  Is it a typical liberal speech?  Absolutely!!

I want to open the floor for comments and analysis on this one but first let me just say this.  At the end of the day we are seeking the preservation of America’s freedoms.  Liberal policy will not do that.  To be a liberal you must believe (like Obama does) that America is broken and everything that made it great was a mistake.

That being said, I had a sense of pride as the convention closed tonight.  I was not proud because of what the candidate said but rather that he could say it.  I have classes all day with students from Central and South America who have to worry if there will be a military coup before Christmas break.  I never have to fear differences of opinion leading to civil war and for that I thank God to live here.  I am proud to be an American because Democrats can have a convention, they are ashamed of everything it stands for.  That’s what makes us different.

Prime Time Arrogance

I am watching the Democratic convention…lucky for me I haven’t had supper yet so my stomach is holding up just fine.  Joe Biden just sat down after informing the audience at the Obama Messianic Temple (AKA Invesco Field at Mile High) why it is that they are there.  Biden says that they are there for the Americans who have been knocked down, for the mothers and fathers struggling to get by, and for all the middle class workers who are dealing with rising costs.  Frankly they ARE there for those people….and to make sure they stay that way.

After all, if those people did not exist Democrats would have no constituency.  If Conservative principles of free markets and limited government were enacted these groups WOULD be able to pick themselves up, earn more, spend more, and invest more.  It is the liberal agenda which seeks to limit individuals ability to make their own future and further the status quo.  In light of good news from Iraq and the American economy, how can these folks so blindly say the things they say?

I cannot answer that except to say that liberals NEED misery to push their agenda.  Leftist have always played off of people’s fears and misfortunes to get power, from Marx to Obama.  Speaking of the “Great One”, he is about to speak…so here’s my prediction for the speech.Party of the little guy???

1) He will continue the class warfare mantra.  Republicans want to take away grandma’s social security and force gas prices to 10 dollars a gallon.

2) He will ignore the truth to make you fear the future.  In spite of the more than 3% growth in the economy last quarter, Obama will tell you that our economic future is in peril and it’s Republicans’ fault.

3) He will, in the end, say nothing….like always.

I sometimes like to ask liberals, “Where would you guys be without the poor?”  I know the answer…unemployed!!  I would someday like to ask a poor person, “Where would you be without liberals?”  I can imagine an answer for that one too…rich!!

The Reason(s) Why Obama Will Lose

If you listened to liberal fanaticism and media hype, you might have believed that the presidential election was over in March. For those who have staved off the Barack Obama blogs and Facebook groups, belief in the possibility of a McCain victory is beginning to surface.

So many columnists and bloggers have taken it upon themselves to declare once and for all why John McCain will lose this election that I decided to bear the conservative burden and respond.

Here, in summary, is why Barack Obama will ultimately lose this election.

___

1) A Complete Lack of Experience

In the initial portion of this post, I feel compelled to let others do my own work. As much as I would love to discredit Barack Obama as a presidential candidate, it would only be the opinion of a middle-class white American. I have opted instead to let those more qualified than myself tell you why Barack Obama lacks the necessary experience to be this nation’s commander-in-chief.

I think he can be ready, but right now I don’t believe he is. The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training.” -Joe Biden

When’s the last time we elected a president based on one year of service in the Senate before he started running? He will have been a senator longer by the time he is inaugarated, but essentially once you start running for president full time you don’t have time to do much else.” -Bill Clinton

I think we need a president with more experience than [Barack Obama]. Someone the rest of the world knows, looks up to and has confidence in.” -Hillary Clinton

Democrats will have you believe experience isn't everything... Since when?

Don’t listen to my reasoning on why Obama lacks the criteria to be this country’s next presidency, I’m a political opponent of Barack Obama with no political experience. Instead, listen to a Democratic senator who has served thirty-five years in office, a former first lady and current Democratic senator who has spent time in the Executive and Legislative branches of government, and a former Democratic President of the United States. Needless to say, a former president might know what it takes to lead this country.

Of course, all of these quotes are now ancient history to those who spoke them. These former opponents are now “united” for the Obama cause. But instead of listening to what Biden and the Clintons say now, while they are trying to unite the party (and keep the hope of Obama winning alive), listen to what was said when they spoke their minds. Listen to what Joe Biden said when Obama was an opponent, not his running mate. Listen to what Hillary and Bill said about Obama when they didn’t have to support him for the sake of the party.

You discover people’s true feelings when they speak freely. When the Democratic Party is pushing for “unity” don’t expect sincerity— just apathy cloaked with empty support.

___

2) The Hillary Effect

Having reviewed Hillary’s opinion of Barack Obama, it is easy to see how a Hillary supporter could refrain from supporting her former adversary. The Democratic Party would have you believe that all Hillary Clinton supporters have joined together under the Barack Obama campaign to win the presidency. The truth, however, is far from this illusion of unity.

Only one week before the Democratic National Convention, an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll revealed the unsettling truth about former Hillary Clinton backers. While 52% of former Hillary supporters have signed on with Barack Obama, a mind-blowing 21% have pledged their support to McCain. The remaining 27% declared themselves undecided, leaving a mass of votes out of Obama’s reach.

Sure, this is only one delegate who is siding with McCain. But as the statistics show, she is not alone. The aftermath of a vicious Democratic Primary is eroding the foundation of the Obama campaign. Instead of just chasing undecided voters, Obama’s campaign has found itself courting lifelong Democrats just to keep them within party lines.

Any campaign can handle attacks from its adversaries. When allies begin to attack, however, a campaign’s true strength is tested.

___

3) Reliance on the Youth Vote

Barack Obama’s campaign has become a historic landmark for many reasons, one of which is his innovative abilities to raise money via the internet. The internet boom for Obama has been nothing short of outstanding for the senator turned celebrity, but with reliance on the internet comes reliance on its most frequent users: America’s youth.

The Youth Vote has been historically unreliable

Young political activists can be utilized easily in a campaign… if they are motivated. The problem facing many politically-minded youths in modern America is apathy. Nearly every college student in America attending a liberal campus can provide you with a ten-point lesson on why George Bush and Satan are strikingly similar. This anti-Republican propaganda is handy for raising public interest, but becomes problematic when it is time to go to the polls.

Regardless of political affiliation, 18-24 year old voters are the least reliable to actually vote. This is not opinion, it is fact. In 2004, a mere 47% of citizens age 18-24 voted. Contrast this with an astounding 66% of voters 25 years and older and the youth vote begins to lose its luster. In the 2000 presidential election, the numbers are even worse. Only 36% of 18-24 year olds showed up to vote, while those age 25 and older showed up at a 63% clip.

___

The Bottom Line

Public infatuation with Obama is beginning to fade. Don’t believe me? Check the polls. As this election delves deeper into issues and policy, Barack Obama’s inexperience is beginning to show. While McCain lacks Obama’s youth and charisma, Obama lacks McCain’s experience. Youth and charisma help initially, but as voters rank their candidate priorities, experience wins out. Combine this with the faction of former Hillary Clinton supporters that are abandoning the Obama campaign, and Obama’s numbers are in jeopardy.

It is Democratic National Convention week and Obama just picked a Vice Presidential candidate. How did the American public respond? A one-point lead in the polls.

The only thing between Barack Obama and the presidency is time (about two and a half months, to be exact). As the Clinton supporters get further away, the Republican National Convention gets closer, and the polls get tighter, time is the last thing Obama needs.

Change We Can(not) Believe In

Barack Obama is known as the candidate for change. Every speech Obama delivers is behind a podium decorated with some advocacy of change (Stand For Change, Unite For Change, etc.), but his most recent campaign decision seems to contradict the very belief that he hammers into anyone who will listen.

Below is one of the clips showing Obama’s displeasure with the current status of Washington D.C.

Obama is tired of current politics! This is a campaign for change!

More like a campaign for “Change… Unless I need a Vice Presidential candidate who— despite being in the allegedly failing Congress for the last THIRTY-FIVE YEARS— can divert the voters from my complete lack of experience.” (for more on Obama’s experience see Joe Biden and Bill Clinton in the video below)

In his vice presidential selection, Obama had the opportunity to fully commit to a campaign for change. Obama could have selected someone who has been outside of D.C. politics, which would have further promoted his push for change. Instead, he selected a Senator who has been in office for over three decades. Obama also could have chosen a like-minded running mate, while relying on his own strengths to push him to the presidency. Instead, he addressed his own flaws by selecting a candidate with the credentials he lacks. Failing to choose a candidate for change, Obama chose a tenured Senator who has chaired powerful committees within the Senate— a virtual opposite of himself.

If you don’t believe Biden and Obama are on different wave lengths, listen and learn.

This video shows everything you should know about Joe Biden. Namely, it shows that he conveniently changed his mind about fellow Senator Barack Obama and converted to an opponent of John McCain.

Biden initially claimed that Obama was not fit for office, but now professes a belief in the “change” that Obama is selling. Likewise, Biden called John McCain a “personal friend” and said he would be willing to run against or with him in a presidential campaign. Now he believes that Obama is the only candidate with the “character and leadership” required to be president?

Quite simply, politics is all about winning elections. Without electoral victories, a political party cannot gain influence. Therefore, in the world of politics, one will do whatever it takes to win elections. Joe Biden may give Obama the best chance to win this election, but the price Obama paid is his campaign’s integrity. He promotes a campaign of change, but fuels that campaign with the same gasoline that runs Washington D.C.

How am I supposed to believe that Obama wants to change Washington D.C. when he just selected a running mate who embodies it?

The Ultimate Hypocrisy

George Hussien Obama, half-brother of Barack Obama, shown in his dirt hut in Kenya

George Hussien Obama, half-brother of Barack Obama, shown in his dirt hut in Kenya

Barack Obama–a “man of the people.” Barack Obama–”Hope, Change, Change we can believe in.” Barack Obama–one of the biggest hypocrites to ever run for the Presidency of the United States.

Here is a story about Senator Obama’s half brother who lives in Kenya, as reported by Telegraph.

As you will read, George Hussein Obama, one of Barack’s 8 siblings (almost all of which are half-siblings–Barack Obama Sr. had eight children with four different women) lives on less than $1 a month! That is less than $20 a year! The same Barack Hussein Obama who wants to tax oil company profits, raise the minimum wage, and implement socialistic health care ALL in an effort to end poverty–THAT Barack Hussein Obama has a BROTHER who is living in some of the worst conditions imaginable!

According to Italy’s Vanity Fair his two metre by three metre shack is decorated with football posters of the Italian football giants AC Milan and Inter, as well as a calendar showing exotic beaches of the world.

He has only met his famous older brother twice – once when he was just five and the last time in 2006 when Senator Obama was on a tour of East Africa and visited Nairobi.

Barack Obama, who is so quick to criticize me for being a Capitalist; Barack Obama who wants to take my money and give it to someone else, Barack Obama who has raised nearly $400 million dollars for his Presidential campaign has a brother living in UNBELIEVABLE POVERTY! He wants to criticize John McCain, a real-estate investor, for not knowing how many houses he has, while his brother is eating bugs and living outdoors??? This is the biggest outrage of this election season, if not the last ten elections.

Just for a second, forget everything else that disqualifies Obama to be President: forget Jerry Wright, forget Louis Farakhan, forget his Islamic heritage (which is very real and is cited in the ABC story above). This fact alone, this outrageous story about his poverty-stricken brother nullifies every word that Barack Obama has ever uttered. Every speech on poverty, every attack on George W. Bush’s character, every finger-pointing at America: it all comes down to this.

And you won’t hear this in the mainstream media: I would be shocked if any of the major news outlets gave any airtime to this story. Regardless, I hope the American people are smarter than this.

If America elects this hypocritical empty-suit, she will suffer the consequences.

Obama Chooses Biden For Running Mate…My Farewell Address

I signed up to receive an email revealing Obama’s running mate in the race for the presidency, and saw at 4:31 AM that he chose Sen. Joe Biden to fill that slot. The first thing that I thought about was Sen. Biden’s comment about “on the job training” and his racist gaffe included in the video below comparing the two running mates in a gaffe competition:

I thought that this video demonstrated why Sen. Obama is no good at all with speaking when he is not in front of a teleprompter and why he has consistently denied the McCain campaign’s multiple invitations to join Sen. McCain at town hall meetings. The great speaker is once again shown to be just a great reader and a phony.

Then, after remembering Sen. Biden’s criticism of Sen. Obama for not having the needed experience for the job, I was reminded of Sen. Obama’s own words after he was elected U.S. Senator for Illinois:

Sen. Biden was an interesting choice for vice presidential candidate, but this choice also highlights Sen. Obama’s need for experience within a potential administration and the fact that he has none. In choosing Biden as his running mate, Sen. Obama is also trying to draw some more foreign policy credentials into his side of the race since Sen. Biden is chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. This choice highlights many of Sen. Obama’s weaknesses, and it will be interesting to see how this may be used against him in the future of this race.

Sorry that this has taken me so long to get out, but I lost power due to Tropical Storm Fay and was unable to make this as breaking news as it could have been.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say good bye, at least for now, as this will be my last post for a while. It has been a pleasure writing for this blog, and I hope that it is able to continue to remain strong throughout this upcoming year. I will have no time to post due to my studies at law school, but will try as much as possible to read what others have to say. May the fight for truth continue on, and may liberty and justice be the driving force behind all decisions that we make. God Bless and farewell for now.

Global Warming or Global WARNING about liberal agendas?

Here is a very challenging video about Global Warming. Regardless of your beliefs on the issue, you need to see this video. Anything I say will pale in comparison. It is very long, but watch as much as you can–it’s worth it.

Uncovering Media Bias: NBC

Once again, we as Americans have to suffer through the obvious infatuation that the media has with Sen. Obama, and their covert (not really) agenda to get him elected to the Presidency. Andrea Mitchell, an NBC chief correspondent, said the following on Meet the Press yesterday:

“The Obama people must feel that he didn’t do quite as well as they might have wanted to in that context, because what they are putting out privately is that McCain may not have been in the cone of silence and may have had some ability to overhear what the questions were to Obama. He seemed so well-prepared.” (NBC’s “Meet The Press,” 8/17/08)

In response to this outrageous, unsubstantiated conspiracy theory, McCain campaign manager Rick Davis sent a letter to the President of NBC News requesting a meeting with him to discuss concerns about the abandonment of objectivity at NBC. Within the letter, he criticized Mitchell for her actions and vociferously defended the fact that Sen. McCain was in his motorcade in a green room without any media feed on the way to the event. Below is an excerpt from the letter in which Davis called Mitchell out on her lack of journalistic objectivity:

Instead of trying to substantiate this blatant falsehood in any way, Andrea Mitchell felt that she needed to repeat it on air to millions of “Meet the Press” viewers with no indication that 1.) There’s not one shred of evidence that it’s true; 2.) In his official correspondence to both campaigns, Pastor Rick Warren provided both candidates with information regarding the topic areas to be covered, which Barack Obama acknowledged during the forum when asked about Pastor Warren’s idea of an emergency plan for orphans and Obama said, “I cheated a little bit. I actually looked at this idea ahead of time, and I think it is a great idea;” 3.) John McCain actually requested that he and Barack Obama do the forum together on stage at the same time, making these kinds of after-the-fact complaints moot.

This has become an increasingly evident example of media bias with not only Andrea Mitchell, or NBC as a whole, but pretty much all major media outlets as evidenced by the New York Times publishing the same smear propagandathat the Obama campaign has tried to put out. I am glad that the McCain campaign is finally taking the fight to the media with this and calling them out on their lack of objectivity in reporting on this election.

I refer you back to my previous posts uncovering media bias to demonstrate the continued Obama campaign influence in media coverage: The Media’s Love Affair With ObamaMedia Bias Strikes Again: CNN, and A Rare Departure From Media Bias. I hope that Rick Davis is successful in his meeting the NBC President, and that this sets the stage for more objective coverage of both candidates so that we as voters no longer have to suffer this intolerable bias towards lifting up Sen. Obama as the Messiah of us all.
